CHILDREN'S SUMMER READING GAME
shipwrecked transparenttropical island

waveBadgeThis was supposed to be the best summer ever but instead a storm has left you shipwrecked on a mysterious island. The animals are friendly and they need our help! The island was once magical but the magic was lost when the Tablet of Power was broken and the pieces were scattered. Are you ready for an adventure to collect those pieces and restore the magic?

How to Play

  1. Visit either St. Albert Public Library location to play a turn in the game. Each turn takes about 5 minutes.
  2. Start reading. Choose a reading goal (trackers below) and colour a piece of the picture for every 10 minutes that you read. You don't have to finish the reading tracker before coming back to play a turn in the library.
  3. When you do complete your reading tracker, bring it into the library for a prize!
  4. You may complete more than one tracker.
  5. New activities are added to the game each week on Thursdays, so be sure to check back regularly!
